Bamboo Greeting Cards 16pt - Clubcard Printing USA

Our 16pt thick Bamboo Greeting Cards offer a beautiful watercolor textured matte surface that is crafted from 90% bamboo and 10% recovered cotton fibers and is acid and chlorine free making these cards 100% biodegradable.  These tree-free cards are an eco-friendly, sustainable choice for folding cards, invitations, and greeting cards of all sizes.

This uncoated bamboo card stock is ideal for printing illustrations and photos with slightly muted colors and a natural, painterly look and feel. We print bamboos greeting cards in full color on a Hewlett Packard Indigo press to achieve color consistency on multiple card orders and future reprints.

Clubcard brings over 30 years of print and design experience to every project and we are ready to help make your greeting card project a huge success. Don't delay, print today!

Colour Will Be Muted And Subtle

Since the stock is an uncoated stock the colours will appear more muted and subtle compared to those on coated stocks.

Greys Can Shift

CMYK Process colours in the grey range and de-saturated images can shift in colour throughout the print run and may cause the greys to appear either cooler or warmer. For a neutral grey we recommend converting all grey values and de-saturated images to true greyscale consisting of K (black) only values.

Images May Not Be As Crisp As Coated Stocks

Photos and other high resolution objects will not show up on this stock as crisp as those on a coated card stock since the ink absorbs into the stock when drying.

Frayed Edges

It is common to see "frayed / rough edges" on uncoated stocks especially with ink coverage that extends to the edge of the cards, when a stock is not coated the fibres can break loose when trimmed. Choosing a coated or laminated card will help avoid this issue.

Small Fonts Aren't Good

Due to the lower halftone resolution with Indigo printing, the minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a black ink only version. If black, use 100% K.

Thin Lines Aren't Good

Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K it may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.

Indigo Resolution Is Different Than Offset

There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.

No Rich Black

Don't use rich black on Indigo printing. 100% K will be just fine.

Heavy Coverage? Don't Round Corners

Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. This can be an issue for corner rounding so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.

Proofing Will Delay Production Timelines

Orders with proofs will not begin print production until the proof is approved. If you are ordering rush printing and printed proofs the proof printing cannot be rushed.

PDF Layout Proofs: PDF layout proofs will be sent within 1 business day, rush orders will be given priority and sent asap during business hours. If file adjustments are required after the proof is sent the turnaround time is based on the time of final proof approval.

Printed Proofs | Photos of Proofs | Mailed Proofs: Printed proofs and photos of printed proofs require up to 4 business days to produce and cannot be rushed. If file adjustments are required after the proof is sent the turnaround time is based on the time of final proof approval.
